​You Could Qualify for a Storm Shelter Tax Credit
Need a Storm / Tornado Shelter? It may be more affordable than you think, thanks to the Alabama Storm Shelter Tax Credit Act which went into effect on January 1, 2022, administrated by The Alabama Emergency Management Agency and the Alabama Department of Revenue.
Alabama taxpayer residents could qualify for a tax credit that equals up to $3000 or 50% of the total cost of construction, acquisition, and installation of a FEMA approved storm / tornado shelter at their primary residence, whichever amount is less.
